Research shows that JA Alumni are more likely to have a college degree, feel confident managing money, have career success, and have started a business as an adult. Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven professional to serve as the Director of Education. This role is responsible for overseeing and expanding student-focused programs across a 13-county region. The Director will manage key initiatives, maintain high-quality program delivery, support volunteer engagement, and strengthen partnerships with educators, school districts, and community organizations.

Primary Responsibilities:

Program Oversight & Management

● Lead all programmatic efforts across the following counties: Warren, Logan, Todd, Barren, Clinton, Cumberland, Allen, Metcalfe, Monroe, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, and Simpson.
● Ensure the timely and effective fulfillment of classroom program requests.
● Oversee the daily operations of program recruitment, implementation, retention, data management, and evaluation.
● Coordinate logistics for various program delivery models, including in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats.
● Serve as a classroom volunteer as needed to support and model program excellence.


Volunteer & School Engagement

● Recruit, train, and retain volunteers through strong community and corporate partnerships.
● Cultivate and expand relationships with school districts and youth-serving organizations.
● Focus on increasing program reach in rural counties by building sustainable volunteer and educational partnerships.
● Deliver volunteer orientation and ongoing support to ensure a positive experience for all stakeholders.


Data, Curriculum, and CRM Management

● Manage curriculum inventory, ordering, distribution, and budget.
● Enter and maintain accurate records in the BCRM (Blackbaud Customer Relationship Management) system in compliance with JA USA standards.
● Track and report grant-related data and other program metrics.


Communication & Marketing Collaboration

● Partner with the marketing team to share program outcomes, student impact stories, and volunteer needs across social media and other channels.
● Collect and provide data, stories, and updates for board meetings, grant reporting, and donor stewardship.


Event & Organizational Support

● Assist with annual fundraising events such as Bowl for JA, Hall of Fame, Race for JA, Chili Cheese Luncheon, JA Classic, and JA Inspire Virtual.
● Perform general office responsibilities
● Attend required Program Management Training and national/regional conferences as a representative of Junior Achievement.
● Collaborate with JA staff and the Board of Directors to align programming with strategic goals.

Qualifications (required)

●Bachelor’s degree required.
●Minimum of 2 years of experience in education, nonprofit work, or a related field.
●Demonstrated passion for youth education and community impact.
●Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
●Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
●Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
●Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to lift 20–30 lbs.
●Knowledge of or willingness to learn Junior Achievement’s mission, programming, and values.
