M&L Electrical Race for JA

Junior Achievement of South Central Kentucky is proud to announce a new event: The M&L Electrical Race for JA, presented by US Bank. With M&L Electrical, US Bank and Media Sponsor WBKO, the event takes place Saturday, June 4, 2022 at the National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park from 8am to 12pm. Enjoy racing go karts and learn about STEM components during this inaugural event. Participants will receive an event T-shirt, lunch ticket, one race and STEM educational experience.
Corporations and members of the public are encouraged to participate. Race for JA offers three race categories: Teams of four adults, individual adults and children can participate. Teams will race from 8 - 10 am CT. Teams must consist of four adults ages 18 and older AND at least 60 inches tall. Team awards will be calculated by averaging all team members' lap times. There are 25 spots available for team races. Individual adults ages 18 and older AND at least 60 inches tall will race from 10-11 am CT. There are 50 spots available for individual adult races. Children will race from 11 am - 12 pm CT. Children ages 14 -17 can join the fun, but must be at least 14 years old AND at least 60 inches tall to race. A guardian MUST be present during the race for children to participate, and they must sign a participation waiver. There are 50 spots available for individual children's races.
This event will be held rain or shine. However, the threat of tornadoes, flooding or lightning will cancel the event. NCM Motorsports Park will make that decision. In the event of inclement weather that results in event cancellation, the rain date is June 11, 2022. Awards will be given for the Teams and Individual Adults race category for Fastest Lap Time, Slowest Lap Time and Best Costume. Awards will be given for the Individual Children race category for Fastest Lap Time, Second Fastest Lap Time and Best Costume. Please wear long pants to participate in the race. Closed toe shoes are required for participants. If you wear open toe shoes you will NOT be allowed to race. No exceptions. No walk up participants the day of the event will be accepted. No exceptions. Registration ends June 1st, 2022.
